Procedures that make sense
Writing, revising or managing business procedures or SOPs? Developing technical manuals or user guides? Creating policies or training materials?
Whichever applies, you'll surely be looking to produce content that is accurate, clear and easy-to-use. You're probably also looking to increase compliance and reduce risk and errors.
Getting written instructions followed by your audience can be a real challenge, because it really is about more than “just writing down what you need to do”.
You need a tried and tested approach that is easy to understand, easy to apply and produces an end product your audience will be happy to consult and follow.
Our tried and tested approach
Our tried and tested approach is called Information Mapping© . It's a proven, research-based approach to developing business content that's been around for over 40 years.
In that time, tens of thousands of users in organisations around the globe have discovered how the Information Mapping approach can help them to build content their colleagues can really use.

We can help you to set standards and styles for any type of business content. We can build MS Word templates to ensure that whoever is doing the writing, standards are easily followed.
Implementing your content model

Showing you the way
If you prefer to do things yourself, we can teach you how to use the Information Mapping approach. If you have up to 3 or 4 people who need to learn, then attending our public Developing Procedures, Policies and Documentation course is an ideal solution.
For 5 or more people, we can come to you and run a standard or tailored version of the course.
A blended, flexible approach
Perhaps you'd prefer a blend of the previous two options. We can create a flexible, tailored solution to meet your specific needs.
As an example, we could build a content model for you, then deliver an in house course or workshop to teach the skills to implement that model yourself.
