For a long time, public learning programmes in L&D have followed a familiar pattern. Individual courses. Repeated dates. Flexible attendance. If you miss one, you can catch the next.
Learning Re-Framed is deliberately different. It runs twice a year only, as a cohort-based programme designed to create space for proper thinking — not just attendance. You don’t “fit it in”. You decide it’s worth making time for.
A brief overview of why the programme exists, what it explores, and how it connects learning to day-to-day work.
As and L&D professional, you are doing your best work within real constraints, yet you still find yourself dealing with familiar tensions:
learning that looks strong, but struggles to translate into day-to-day work.
pressure to “demonstrate impact” in ways that don’t quite reflect reality.
defaulting to training when something else may be needed.
a sense that something isn’t quite lining up — without a clear way to articulate why.
Learning Re-Framed exists to address that tension. Not by adding more models or focusing trends; but by re-examining how learning is designed, supported, and evaluated in the first place.
It’s about shifting emphasis in ways that make learning more useful in practice. Across the programme, the focus is on:
designing with application in mind from the outset
recognising when training helps — and when other forms of support matter more
structuring meaningful practice, not just content exposure
making sense of impact without turning evaluation into a burden, and
connecting learning decisions more clearly to real work.
It’s a subtle shift — but for many people, it changes how everything fits together.
Learning Re-Framed is structured as a five-day programme, delivered over five consecutive Thursdays.
This spacing is intentional. It gives you time between sessions to reflect, notice, and connect ideas back to your own context. You can:
attend the full programme as a coherent whole, or
join for selected days that are most relevant.
Most people attend more than one day. Some attend all five. The modularity is deliberate - but the programme itself remains a connected whole.
Learning Re-Framed is designed for:
L&D leaders and managers.
instructional designers.
facilitators and trainers.
consultants and independent practitioners.
It’s particularly valuable if you:
sense the limits of “course-first” thinking
want a clearer framework for your decisions
feel pressure to demonstrate value without oversimplifying learning, or
want ideas you can apply — not just agree with.
You don’t need complex metrics to understand if learning is making a difference — you need better questions and stories.
Going beyond conventional approaches to build the foundations for learning that actually transfers.
Effective e-learning isn’t about polish or engagement — it’s about designing meaningful practice that mirrors real work.
Virtual and face-to-face learning don’t require fundamentally different designs — what matters is how practice is structured.
Some of the most important learning happens during work — when people are supported in the moment they need it.
Brilliant. Well-tailored and specific to needs. Would recommend to others.
Excellent! Matched and exceeded expectations.
Very good. Definitely a worthwhile investment.
